Minor surgery clinic

For the benefit of our registered patients, we hold a Minor Surgery Clinic once a month on Friday mornings run by Dr Duncan Hugh.

At these clinics, Dr Hugh is able to do minor surgery to patients such as curettage (cutting); electrocautery, e.g. skin tag removal; and injections, e.g. steroid injections into joints.

If you have a small skin lesion, mole, boil, cyst or skin tag that you would like removed or need a steroid injection into a joint, you must first make an appointment with a GP who will refer you to Dr Hugh. He will then review the case from the notes the GP has written and either add you to the waiting list directly or ask you to come in and see him in person, so he can assess your suitability for Minor Surgery. Once the procedure has been deemed to be viable for Minor Surgery, you will be put on the waiting list and you will receive a letter detailing your appointment in due course.
